Hi I’m Hannah, founder & trainer at Miss Teaspoon
Miss Teaspoon was born from a simple idea: every girl deserves a mentor who truly listens, understands, and gently guides her through life’s most confusing moments.
The journey began in classrooms across Malaysia, where as a passionate educator in my twenties, I found myself face-to-face with the hopes, fears, and struggles of girls who were navigating the world without a roadmap. I saw their potential, their spark, and sometimes, their pain.
These encounters changed me. They weren’t just students, they were girls who needed someone to hold space for them, someone to be patient and present as they found their way.
I built Miss Teaspoon with a philosophy: mentorship at the right time can change a life. I believed, and still believe, that social-emotional learning is not a luxury but a necessity, especially for Malaysian girls, who face unique cultural challenges. I wrote every part of the program myself, tailoring it to our local context because I knew that imported models wouldn’t capture the essence of what these girls needed.
Miss Teaspoon is all about creating safe spaces where girls can be themselves. It’s about teaching them to find their voice, understand their emotions, and build the skills they need to thrive in a complex world.
Today, I’m focused on making Miss Teaspoon accessible to as many girls as possible, without compromising the depth and care we offer. It’s a promise and a safe place for girls to grow, explore, and shine.

Philosophy & Pedagogy
Established in 2011, the roots of Miss Teaspoon’s philosophy and pedagogical method is based on a 100 year old scientific research of Dr. Maria Montessori.
The Montessori Method was famously supported by Thomas Edison & Albert Einstein.
The Approach
Away from exams, assessments and competitions, our lessons focus on building each child’s development and self-esteem.
Child-driven, experience-based, social-emotional centric, our lessons are presented through materials and activities that engage learning at different levels.
